On the allure of the controversial...
I am going to see Titus Andronicus this week, and am admitting that much of my motivation lies in its reputation for gore. Would also like to see King Lear primarily because many people are finding the production to be a difficult one. I feel like I'm an impure Shakespeare enthusiast... Who am I kidding? I mostly like the cross-dressing.

How was Titus?
Titus was very compelling, and lots of stage blood. I would highly recommend it to anyone with a strong enough stomach. Must watch the Anthony Hopkins film version now.
